This course was created by the Minnesota Sheriffs’ Association
in
conjunction with the International Academy of Public Safety and the National Command and Staff College.

This Implicit Bias course was put together to meet the Minnesota’s mandate for providing an “Implicit Bias” training to all Law Enforcement in the state.  The course meets the objectives that were set by the state and was piloted by over 200 Law Enforcement Professionals both on-line and in classroom throughout the country.

The material in this course will be thought provoking and not everyone will agree with all parts of this training.  That too is part of the training.   It is suggested that students with questions about the content of this course seek additional understanding with their sheriff, police chief or director of training for their agency.

The Minnesota Sheriffs’ Association is a continuing education sponsor as approved by the Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training. This course, Implicit Bias 09053-00649, has been approved by the POST Board for continuing education credit. Peace officers who successfully complete this course will receive three (3) hours of continuing education.

This course is approved for three (3) hours under the mandated category of Community and Cultural Diversity and Implicit Bias.  It covers learning objectives 1,2 and 3.
