CIT 14: Suicide (POST #09053-0579)

Module 14:  Suicide (2 hours)

First responders are called upon daily to respond to mental health issues many of which involve threatened, attempted, and concluded suicide events.  In the suicide course, we will study the history and current statistics of suicide and suicide attempts in our communities and globally.  Our instructor will focus on research and intervention and prevention strategies.  This course will increase the responder’s knowledge, awareness and preparedness for dealing with a suicidal situation.
