The Basic Medication Delivery course is an introductory course for correctional officers learning about medication delivery in the correctional setting.  It will feature the rights of medication delivery, the officer’s role in passing medications in their facility, as well as basic information on diabetes, Narcan, and epinephrine.

This course is intended to provide an overview, with individual facility policies providing more detailed and specific information as well as expectations for officers to be successful in medication delivery in their facility.

Christine A. Pace, RNC, CCHP |Correctional Health Supervisor
Anoka County Public Health & Environmental Services

Christine Pace graduated nursing school in 1986. She has spent the majority of her career working as a psych RN in both acute hospital setting and 9 years at Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center in Anoka. She has her certification in mental health nursing.  Christine started working as a correctional health RN (supervisor) for Anoka County Public Health in 1999. She earned her CCHP (Certified Correctional Health Professional) 10 years ago.

Lindsay Sery, PHN |Correctional Health Manager
Anoka County Public Health & Environmental Services

Lindsay Sery has worked for Anoka County Public Health since 1999. She is currently the Correctional Health Manager and had been in that position for 5 years. Prior to that she worked for the University of Minnesota, Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, and Humana INC.  as an agency nurse in Texas and North Carolina. Her clinical background is pediatric oncology, surgical ICU and solid organ transplant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Metropolitan State University.

Ashley Storm, RN, CCHP-RN
Ramsey County Registered Nurse Program Coordinator- Correctional Health

Ashley Storm recently began working for Ramsey County where she is the RN Program Coordinator for all the correctional facilities. At these facilities, Ashley supervises medical staff training, does officer trainings for medical and mental health, as well as develops and implements other programs in areas such as chronic care and vaccinations. Prior to that, Ashley Storm was the Lead Nurse at the Scott County Jail where she worked for about 7 years. At Scott County, Ashley was the lead medical trainer and EMR implementation specialist. In 2018, she received her Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) certification through the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and in 2019, she received her CCHP-RN specialty certification. For the past few years, Ashley has been a member on the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association Correctional Health Division Conference Planning Committee.
